Very Pink Chevy Camaro SS Pace Car to Raise Green for Cancer - WOT on Motor Trend





Chevrolet will provide a pink Camaro SS pace car for two upcoming NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races this month. Chevy will donate $200 to the American Cancer Society for each caution lap the pink Camaro runs at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Richmond International Raceway on September 4 and September 10, respectively.

Chevy is also partnering with the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative leading up to Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October and the automaker’s centennial celebration November 3. The events will be announced at a later date.

“For 100 years, Chevy has been helping people along the journey of life in countless ways,” said Alan Batey, Chevrolet vice president, Sales and Service, in a press release. “But as we all know, sometimes life’s journeys take detours or end too early. Together with our race fans, Chevrolet wants to help the American Cancer Society create a world with less cancer, more birthdays and longer journeys.”

Although nobody usually likes caution laps, the fact that some good could come out of them should make both racers and fans feel a little better about them.

very eye catchy pink camaro! but it will be more nicer if they also place the ACS logo and the pink ribbon on the doors of camaro. just place the advocare 500 logo somewhere else. this car is to blame because my girlfriend starts suggesting making my camaro also pink! i just reason out that i dont have enough money yet to repaint my car.hahaha dang!
maybe i can make it like this not pure pink
