After 2 1/2 years with my beloved 2010 2ss/rs, she's going away.
I'm moving into full domesticated dad mode and trading her in for a new Porsche Cayenne S SUV.
I am still a big fan of Detroit iron, my wife drives a 2012 GMC Yukon XL!!!
I have loved every minute of my experience with the Camaro.
Tons of power.
Great styling. Turning heads everywhere I went!
Great GM quality.
I will miss being part of the Camaro family and will be jealous every time I see one on the road.
I hope I am making a good decision?!?!
I'm sorry to see you are moving to the Porsche.
If it were me, I'd stick with GM.

The Yukon is my wife's. I have two houses, one is in the snow belt so I need 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive. The Porsche is 400 horsepower. G M doesn't make a small suv with that kind of power. Not so dumb!

An SUV with more than 285HP is purely dumb. That's like buying a Dodge Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 because you wanted a sports car.

You guys got it twisted a bit. There are a lot of vehicles that cater to those of us who want performance but HAVE to have a reasonable car. Face it, there are a lot of guys who are motor-heads but have families and whatnot. All of us can't have the ultimate sprots car. That's why Pontiac made the G8 a beast, and the S/C Grand Prix, and Ford with the twin turbo V6 Taurus SHO, and the SRT-8 Cherokee. So you can have your cake and eat it too. And let me tell you something, that SHO with some mods might get you AND cart the kids off to Chuckie Cheese's afterwards. And that SRT-8 won't get stuck in the snow like a Camaro will AND it'll stay with you in a 1/4. Clearly there is a market for these vehicles. If there wasn't then the only option would be either a sports car with kids or a Caravan...sheesh...

Well said. An SRT-8 Cherokee isn't trying to be a sportscar, it's an SUV that has a big go pedal. If my wife wants to drive an SUV for comfort, space, and kid-hauling, then she's going to drive one that will merge on the highway like my Camaro can.
My in-laws have the Trailblazer SS, and while I won't throw it into a corner, I will make the gas gauge go down while the speedo goes up.
