That's a shame really. I don't care for the other forum, but I actually did consider going to the fest.

I won't critique C5. After all, they put a lot of energy into their website, sponsorship, and sharing knowledge. Putting on a big event at a big facility is not easy task when you are using "volunteers".... so kudos for that.

But what happens when you use all volunteers doing a rare task isn't the same as when you use people who do tasks every day. It sounded like to me they did a pretty good job, just that it may not have risen to the type event you'd drive 2 days to get to and 2 days to get home from. I'm sure some will say the camaraderie in the parking lot was well worth it.....

We did have a nice local get together over the weekend with some 20 club members!

Dang it was hot here too!

You sure do have a negative attitude. What goes on other forums is their business, I am a member of C5 and it was actually a very successful Camarofest this year. There was APEX motorsports, Oracle Lighting, Adams Polishes and many other vendors that attended. In fact there was a line for hours to wait for people getting mods done to their camaros there.

Would you say negative things about the Fordforum or the Chargerforums? If your not a member there why even post about C5? Do you even own a Gen 5 Camaro?

When you consider the economy, gas prices, the distance of the event, and the cost of room and board it all makes sense that they might not have had a good year this time around. Like I said, I don't care for that site...but that is because of some of the members. I'm sure those responsible for putting the event together are really nice people who tried their best to make it a nice event. I personally didn't want to drive 10+ hours and spend all that gas money to get there and then do it all over again for the drive back. If it were a few hours closer then I would have gone. Hopefully next year they'll have a place closer to me.
