You can change out the AFM lifters and cam and create a pseudo LS3, but no Camaro factory build with the 6L80 ever had an LS3 installed.
The L99 block is different as the oil passages to the lifters support the AFM. The heads are different as well.
OTOH, many with the L99 have embraced the VVT and there are cams that work very well with that. Very streetable but kicks ass when the revs rise.
You do not want to go down the crate motor road.
