Remote Start

Is the A/C suppose to come on when you use the remote start. I have all setting on max but only fan comes on until i put key in and turn to start position.... Doesnt do me any good like this:(

Oh god I hope not..that sucks..in fact it ruins the point of remote start for me. I thought that it was supposed to remember if you had the air or heat on and then it would do that when you started it.

That's weird. I haven't heard anything about that. I know that normally, without remote start, the A/C will turn on when I start the car if I had left it on the last time I turned the car off. Maybe check the manual or call a dealer.

If you use remote start the A/C should turn on if you leave it set before turning car off. When i use my remote start only the fan runs until i turn the key to start position i have called dealership to research before i bring it in. Might just be remote not programmed right. Also i noticed on my alarm trunk pins arent working cause i have opened trunk several times with alarm set and nothing happened... So you all might want to check yours to make sure its working. Alarm should go off if you open trunk when alarm is on and set(takes 30 seconds to set) and you open your trunk.

not sure, but that's exactly what our 2005 Pontiac grand prix did. the compressor would not engage until the key was in and in the on position.

After some investigating the A/C works with remote start the lights just dont light up on the A/C control knobs until you turn your key to start position but it blows out cold air. So everything is COOL :lol:.

It's tied into the DIC and when it's cold outside the heater, heated seats and mirrors will all turn on as well. Cool for you cold climate guys!!:lol:
