View Full Version : More LS3 support?
I have seen LG motorsports examples of LS3 R&D and Im impressed. With that in mine, I wonder about other shops development. I dont know all the supporting sponsors, (so Im not goin into names) but i like to know if any companies plan to do worked LS3/L92 heads, new intakes, CAI or whatever the new 5th gen will use, and IRS rebuilds.
I hoping on the LS3 will be the engine of choice, so Im all ears on R&D

I'm sure the aftermarket will be just as happenin as with previous engines.
These engines respond so well to the easiest mods, and that's what makes the parts so attractive to the aftermarket.
Though this time around they're gonna have alot of competition from GM Performance Parts. :)

Yes and competition is good for the buyer.;)

I like to see different levels of the Hot cam, GMPP ripshift, GMPP staged suspension packages, GMPP clutches, GMPP gears,and GMPP superchargers (FRPP for did it for mustangs)

That's all very possible. :)
GMPP is doing pretty good with coming out with great parts these days, and at prices that are unbelieveable!
L92 heads - fully assembled - $750
L76 intake including fuel injectors and 90mm throttle body - $500
LSX block - $1900
Incredible stuff. Can't wait to see what's coming next! :)

Oh and HPTuners has already got the LS3 tuning support going already. They are beta testing now and it will be on there next release. I think the tuning capability is a big key to the cars sucess.
Great, If GMPP come through as aggressive as Ford's FRPP did with the Mustangs then we are good to go. As for HPTuners, I like to see that thing in my car 2 month after i get it. Im already prepared to void that warranty. ;)

My wife unit's dad is a chevy dealership finance manager; I get the whole "voiding warranty is evil" talk when the 2009 Camaro is mentioned at Sunday dinner. I told him I was going to void the warranty as soon as I leave the lot, lol.
As, for your tt system; I maybe a future customer of yours after a year of owning the car. I want to see the N/a cam only times for now. I like to get use to the 500rwhp before I elect to get 600+hp.:roxor:

L76 = 6.0L car application with AFM, fixed valve timing correct?
L92 = I dont know
Thanks in advance!
L92 = 6.2L truck/suv application with vvt, non-AFM. Tahoes, Escalades.
L76 = 6.0L truck/G8 applications and has AFM; used in American application such as the G8 and Silverado
L98= 6.0L basically the same as the L76, but without AFM; used in Holden applications. Used in Commodores.
LS3= basically a L98, but with different valves, springs, and cam profile (I believe), performance focused. Used in the current Corvette
All these engines share the same head casting. All with minor differences.

what do you think of a 427 Hurst Camaro,

Not likely to happen unless the 427 you refer to is HP then it would be very easy.
