And I have to say amazing, just amazing. It was the red coupe. Just a few observations I made. It seemed a lot smaller than I thought it would be. The wheels were massive, I now understand why they wouldn't make it to production. I never noticed in pictures, but the side windows were one pieces of glass with a black line seperating the door glass from the rear window glass. I just only hope they translate the really nice crisp lines to the production model some how.
Now I really can't wait. I'll post pictures soon. All I had was a cell phone, but they should come out pretty good.

No, it was on an elevated platform (non-spinning of course) with about ten thousand people around it. The glass was somewhat tinted too.

Now you know what we mean when we say pictures don't do this car justice. :)
Pretty sweet when you see the real thing isn't it. :D

I saw Bumble Bee in person this week in Detroit. Like you, I've only seen pictures up to that point. All I can say is WOW!! Pictures don't do this work of art any justice. Chevy did it right.
I felt bad for all of the Dodge boys (not really). I could not believe they did not have the Challenger there. The lady speaking about one of their concepts said the Challenger would be in Chicago next month. Good job Dodge, piss off all of your customers early. They will all be driving Camaros eventually. Their envy will get the best of them.
This is my first post. I want to thank you all for the insight and knowledge I've gained about the 5th gen. I had a yellow '69 that I had to get rid of a fews years ago due to an unfortunate turn of events in my family life. We (my family) picked up the pieces and now I'm in a position to have a new "toy". My wife fully supports it.:roxor:

The front looks so good it's a damn shame people will only see it in their rear view mirrors for an instant. I guess they'll have to hope to run into one at a red light.

This thing needs to come to (or back to) South Texas. Preferably, San Antonio. I'll even settle for Austin.

I'm sitting here, staring down those pictures. All I can say is that the car looks really pissed off. I love it.

im looking back at the pictures I took at the autoshow at the state fair here in Texas back in october 07 and the silver concept and bumblebee were both here on hand and from the pics I took it looks like the wheels on this Red Camaro are wider or maybe its the tires. They looked more flush on the car here as in the sidewalls.

Yup.. the rims are sticking out half an inch past the tires outside lip. I don't have a clue why ?? Its either that or my eye's are playing tricks at this late hour. I better get some sleep....

Maybe they don't fit that well on the mock-up red car? anyone know if those are the same size/style as the Silver Concept car has?

I dont know but my guess would be they are the black rims with hub caps like bumble bee.
I now hold in my hand tickets to the Houston Auto show for this Saturday the 2nd. Cant wait till I see the Camaro there. I hope to see a G8 also. I to will try to get some good pics.

When I went to see the red car I don't remember the wheels looking like that. I got pretty close to it also.
