...may not have to worry right off the bat about maxing out the transmission like I did with the 4L60. ...I wonder what the max hp rating on the 6L80 is though.

Good question. Best place to ask are the CTS-v forums. They have LSA's and 6L80E's. Something I just noticed though that's a bigger dip from 1-2 than the 4L60's. With 6 gears I would thought they'd be a tad bit closer.
