Wow, I was a little surprised at the RPM's the motor was ran to. If the customer requests that a certain MAX RPM level be used for tuning, is that something that can be done? I know a lot of guys sink a load of money in their V-twin bikes building a badass motor, then have it destroyed during tuning by turning too high a RPM. Being a non-racer, my V-twin and for that matter the engine in my cars will never hit redline while I am driving.
Just curious if tuning RPM limits can be set by the customer. Thanks.

So this is a cut and paste question from the other forum you posted on. I think you got your answer on the other forum.

so here is my cut and paste answer:

That was a sample of the 427 Z06 motor which will be in the Z/28s. They rev to 7000 RPMs stock in the real world.

A tuner can ( or you can with a calibration platform) can set your rev limiter at whatever you want. 1000 RPMs or 10,000 RPMs.

Good question and the stock calibration sounds right for you.

Dyno Tune

I got my Tune done Saturday from Phil, very happy with it. HP gain was moderate but TQ was good. Also, as we put the CAI and throttle body on before the base dyno run, the gains are for the tune only.

Craig,
Thanks for the fun afternoon. When I graphed you out from just the dyno calibration, your max torque gain was 30 RWTQ and you max'd 31 RWHP gain @ 5100 RPMS. Very nice gains for a stock Camaro.

Phil

Endorse Phil and his abilities 100%. There are far more so-so tuners in the area than good ones, and Tampa Tuning is heads above most.
