Driver window will sometimes not go up.

Driver window will sometimes go up and come back halfway down when I hit the express up button. When you open and close the door it starts working OK. Just happens once in a while. Has this happen to anybody else? The car only has 400 miles on it. It is a V6 1LT. I plan on taking it to the dealer but it will it not do it when I take it in.

Ya mine does that too. Sometimes you have to play with it and after 4 or 5 trys it will stay up.

I had the same problem w/ my pass window every once in a while....look in your manual, there's instructions to reset your window "indexing"...I'm not 100% sure it's the fix, after the first time I did it, it still had the problem, so I reset it again and it hasn't done it since....it's simple and worth a try.

UPDATE, Just came back from the dealer. They called GM tech and was told to replace the window motor. Re-programming the window is not a fix per GM but to replace the motor. So I will have to wait to see.

The dealer replaced the window motor but it did no fix the problem, sometimes the window will still go up and then come halfway down. I have to open and close the door for the window to stay up. I will take it back to the dealer next week.

Update. Dealer adjusted the window down some. When you opened the door the window did not index down far enough. Maybe this was the fix. Replacing the motor did not fix the problem. Dealer said 80 percent of the time the motor will fix the problem. If not adust the window.

Both of my windows, sometimes, will reverse when I turn off the ignition. I hit express up, turn off the car and the window goes back down. Hmmmm.
