Camaro has not only returned to the streets....it is also back on the racetrack!!
Camaros are back in competition in the Grand-Am Rolex & Contintental Tire Challenge Series and will be racing at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course June 18-20. What better way to welcome them back then to pack the infield with Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts and their rides?!?!?!?!

Come on out to Mid-Ohio on Saturday, June 19 and enjoy a day of fast cars and fun with fellow Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts at the EMCO Gears Classic! You will have the opportunity to see the:
** Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series race
** Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge race
** Practice and qualifying for the ARCA Truck Series, VW Jetta TDI Cup and Ford Mustang Challenge races.

We are going to have the opportunity to check out the Stevenson Motorsports Camaro racecars and have a private “meet and greet” with their drivers. Stevenson Motorsports campaigns the VinSolutions Camaro GTRs in the Rolex Series and the Sunoco Camaro GSRs in the Continental Tire Challenge Series. This will be a great chance to get some photos and autographs. Many thanks to Stevenson Motorsports for offering this awesome opportunity to our group! For more info on Stevenson Motorsports, checkout their site at http://www.stevensonmotorsports.com/.

Advanced tickets - $30 per person - children 12 and under are free!
This includes:
** Weekend general admission
** Paddock (garage area) Pass - get to see the cars up close!
** Open grandstand seating
** Special infield Camaro/Firebird Corral Parking
** Stevenson Motorsports Tour and Meet & Greet
** Lap of Mid-Ohio race course (time and availability subject to change due to track schedule)
** Concession and souvenir coupons
** Special giveaways

Purchase tickets here:
http://www.midohio.com/Store/Ticket...nk/EMCO-Gears-Camaro-Firebird-Car-Club-Ticket

Note: Other ticket option are available, but this is the best bang for your buck.

If you purchase tickets, it would be greatly appreciated if you would post up here: 1) that you did and the number of people attending and 2) if you are bringing your Camaro/Firebird (so we know the size of the corral needed).

If you've never witnessed big-time road course racing, this is your chance! These are the cars and teams that run in the 24-Hours of Daytona and other prestigious road course races across the USA. Mid-Ohio is a beautiful facility that features a 2.4 mile, 15-turn circuit that is one of the most competitive in the US.

Hi gang! Just a few notes as we get closer to the races….

1. The deadline for advance ticket sales is Wednesday, June 16. Tickets will be available the day of the race, but getting them in advance will save you some money!

2. This is a rain or shine event. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for good weather, but this is Ohio, so please be prepared just in case!

3. If you’ve never been to Mid-Ohio for a race, it’s a pretty cool venue – totally different from your typical racing event! Even though there are bleachers available for seating, make sure to bring chairs/blankets as well as some of the best seating is on the grassy hills surrounding the course. You can wander around the track/grounds to get great views/pictures from just about every spot.

4. We’ve heard from Stevenson Motorsports -- they can’t wait to see us and the drivers are excited about meeting everyone! They’re putting the finishing touches on the cars this weekend in preparation for bringing home the first win for the Camaros!!!!

Hope you’re all as excited as we are!!!! :) :)

C’mon folks – let’s get a great turnout and support our teams!!! We’d like to turn this into an annual event making it bigger and better each year!!!

PS: Anyone planning on going Friday, too?
