I wonder if GM will ever offer a Coupe version of the G8, 2 doors would look slick on it

With all the quipes and complaints most of you are missing the most important thing about those numbers.
13.4 @ 108 Means that car was spinning badly. I want to see the whole timeslip I'd bet money tht the 60' is in the 2.3 range. A 108 trap speed means the car "can" hit a 12 stock if you can hook it. Weight or not if it can hit 108 MPH in the 1/4, a good drive can get it into the 12's easy. Slicks for sure is a definate 12 second time slip. Considering an optimum run and launch 104 MPH is good for 13 flat. 108 is well into the 12's with 2.0 60' or less.

im just glad that its not slower than my nearly stock 2000 SS, i run a 13.5 flat every time, and i would be embarrassed if the 2010 was slower, so i am happy about that.....

Slim, you are right on the money. I'm very optimistic that the SS will reward me with a fistful of 12 second timeslips, right off the dealer floor! Hmmmmm.........brand new Camaro released in about March '09 + cool Englishtown air = !!!

If the car is trapping 108 (which seems a little low) it should be capable of a low 12 with drag radials. Something in the 12.1-12.4 range. The car will eventually run 11's with bolt-ons...FACT. My TBSS ran 14.8 in august heat, after bolt-ons it ran 12.8...it picked up 2 seconds and 10 mph...now some of that was the weather, but alot of it was the mods. You should see the ET drop by at least a second, from stock to full bolt-on. Add a cam, heads or spray and all bets are off. Just like the 4th gen, removing some weight shouldn't be too bad either...You should be able to take 100-150 out pretty easily without hacking up the car. Interestingly the vette (C/D) ran 12.4 @116 at a weight of 3300 lbs in mid 60's weather. I think the predictions for the camaro are probably fairly accurate, b/c the camaro weighs 600-800 lbs more, and this would equate fairly accurately to the difference in trap speed. Unless you can get the weight off, its just not gonna be any where near as quick as a vette mod-for-mod.
