Fieldgoal00 DRL Harness GB #13

GB #13 WILL END ON AUGUST 30TH AT MIDNIGHT

Hey guys, I'm sure you are all aware of the Wireless DRL harness that I have sold >300 of to many happy Camaro owners
as well as this new DRL Wired harness that I have sold >350 in the last two years.
All of these harnesses are 100% PLUG AND PLAY and require no splicing or cutting of factory wires, if you ever want to
remove these harnesses, they come out as easy as they went in and no one would be able to tell they were ever installed in
your car.
With that being said, here is the eleventh group buy list on ModernCamaro. In order to be added to the list I need your email address so that I can
send you a Paypal invoice. Once payment is received your status will move from invoiced to paid. Also once you pay, you will
get this in a timely manner and any and all questions you have will be answered and replied to in the same day. Probably
within a few minutes of you sending me a message. Please also remember that these are all built with care by hand and are
not a run of the mill cheap harness outsourced from somewhere else that I am selling you.
All of these harnesses incorporate a relay to allow the DRL circuit to be turned on, by doing this and not using any diodes,
there is ABSOLUTLEY NO WAY for your wiring harness to be damaged by a backfeed issue.
If anyone is interested in this please let me know so that I can add you to this groupbuy and begin taking orders for these DRL
harnesses. These will also come with written instructions and tell you everything you need to know about installing these great
products.
----------------------------WIRED HARNESS INFO-------------------------
Just so everyone is on the same page with this wired harness your DRL lights will always be on when your headlights or halos
are on, you will not be able to turn them off at night if your headlights or halos are on. This is the same way the other vendor
harness operates
DRL STATES WITH WIRED HARNESS (Does not allow you to turn DRL’s on/off at night)
1. Light switch in “AUTO” mode ------ DRL’s come on like they were supposed to from the factory, then at night when your
headlights turn on the DRL’s will come on as well
2. Light switch in “Parking Light” mode -------- Your Halo’s will come on along with your sidemarker and rear parking lights
like the factory intended, however, now your DRL’s will come on as well
3. Light switch in “Headlight” mode ------------Your DRL’s will turn on also when this mode is used
4. DRL’s will stay on also when you turn your highbeams on
5. With the wired version of the harness, the DRL’s cannot be turned off at night, if this is necessary for you, AAC sells a very
nice LED flush mounted switch that you can mount on your dash. This switch simply can be wired into the 12V or Ground wire
supplied with the DRL wired harness to be able to turn the DRL’s on or off at night.

DRL STATES WITH WIRELESS HARNESS (Allows you to turn DRL’s on/off at night)
1. DRL on with Halos
2. DRL on with Halos & Headlights
3. DRL off with Halos on
4. DRL off with Halos & Headlights on
5. DRL on during the day using the factory auto mode
A good point about the DRL Wireless Harness is that the unit we are using is a 4 channel switch which means you can connect
up to 3 more devices (halos, interior lights, etc) to the wireless unit and also control their on/off functions with the same
device.

DRL STATES WITH WIRED HALO 1 HARNESS (Allows you to turn your Halo's into the auto mode DRL's and does not run your factory DRL lights during the day. Original DRLs will only come on at night in auto mode, or when you turn your halos or headlights on)
1. Halos on during the day in Auto Mode (Factory DRL's off)
2. Factory DRL on with Halos & Headlights
3. Factory DRL on when you manually turn Halos on
4. Factory DRL on with Halos & Headlights on

DRL STATES WITH WIRED HALO 2 HARNESS (Allows you to turn your Halo's on with the auto mode DRL's. Original DRLs will also come on at night in auto mode, or when you turn your halos or headlights on)
1. Halos on during the day in Auto Mode (Factory DRL's also on)
2. Factory DRL on with Halos & Headlights
3. Factory DRL on when you manually turn Halos on
4. Factory DRL on with Halos & Headlights on

LED INDICATOR

This is an optional add on for the Wireless Harness. This is placed inside of your car and lets you know which of the 4 channels of your wireless remote unit are turned on or off.

Once again, I’m always around, checking my emails almost 24/7, I even was replying to emails on my Honeymoon earlier this
year, LOL. Please check my Itrader rating as well as read my other threads to see the great feedback and great customers I’ve
had in the past.

Update: If you want to add an AAC flush mounted LED switch to your wired harness

By adding one switch to the system, you will be able to turn on/off your DRL lights at night or during the day by using a switch.

We plan to do add a m/f set of connectors to the relay triggers. We will split the lead to the relay at the female connector then loop it back on the male connector. All the customer will have to do is cut the loop and splice their wires from the switch to each end of the cut loop. The harness will operate as normal until the customer cuts the loop. The customer can remove the connector with the loop and make their splice on a bench rather than on the car. If at any time the customer needs to remove the harness, they can disconnect the switch without cutting wires too.

Pricing:

Wired DRL Harness ------ $106.00
Provisions for 1 wired switch $15.00 (HALO DRL 1/2 or Wired Harness only)
Wireless DRL Harness ---- $191.00
Halo DRL Harness 1-------- $172.00 (DRL's do not function in auto mode only Halos)
Halo DRL Harness 2-------- $ 186.00 (DRL's still function in auto mode along with Halos)
LED Indicator ------------ $45.00

Been following this for a long time now.

Have you been able to isolate the Halo's from the rest of the parking light circuit yet? Meaning, the Halo's can operate without the rest of the parking lights/tailights coming on as well.... if so, which harness accomplishes this?

We have for almost a year and a half now. The halo DRL 1 & 2 harnesses will turn your halos on automatically in auto mode during the day.

When I had an SS I went with Harness #1. I wanted Halos ONLY on during the day and then everything on at night. Got tired of turning the switch one click right and then having my parking and tail lights on too.

Now I have the ZL1 harness and they customized it a bit for me. It totally rocks. If you have a ZL1 I can give you more info on this one.

I will say these haresses are top notch and easy to remove if you ever sell your car.

I get that part but the last time we spoke it was still powering up the entire parking light circuit that the halo's are a part of (side markers, tail lights etc all on when the halo's are on)...

are you saying this is no longer the case?

See statement in post #8 from Criminal:

hypurone, I believe he went with harness #1 to alleviate the need to turn the knob one click right. FG, please correct me if I'm wrong.
