What do i need???

Ok guys, i ran my first autocross this weekend with my car completely stock and absolutely loved it. immediately i knew i needed some work haha. As far as just suspension parts, other than springs and sway bars, what else would you recommend upgrading while im tearing everything apart? Any brand recommendations? Ive been looking at BMR, heard some good stuff about them and the price is right....

Springs and Sways will get you the most benefit. Coilovers would get you the added ride height adjustment benefit and allow corner balancing. You might want to look at the Pfadt stuff, their race bars are adjustable front and rear, with the front being tubular. All depends on your budget and how hardcore you wanna go...

how stiff do you want the ride? bushings..... bmr is the cheapest and one of the best. if your goign to buy alot of stuff, try to get everythign from the same company. all their parts are tested together. so you know everything will work good. dont mix and match parts.

1. Tires # 1
2. Start with basics. Alignment and tweaking air pressures.
3. Sways
4. If your serious coilovers but you can be very competitive with a good spring/damper setup.

im thinking about gettin a new set of wheels and tires to only use on track days so i dont tear up the tires i drive on daily. Do you have a recommendation on what tire to go with? and should i keep the 20" diameter or go with something a little smaller to keep the rotating weight down? Its a v6 so i wont have to worry about brake clearance like the SS model. And as far as tire pressures, should i go with a higher pressure or lower pressure on road courses? Im very new to this so thanks for all the help

An 18" wheel and tire will definitely save some weight and make your suspension react quicker. There is also a lot more options in tires. If you are going to have a set of dedicated track wheels/tires I would use the Toyo R888's or Nitto NT01's. Generally speaking higher pressures work better if the wheel width is correct for the tire but they will always vary slightly depending on other factors. In other words there won't be a set pressure anyone can recommend for all Camaros.

Probably the best thing you can do to decrease your lap times and save your tires is a performance alignment. Adding more negative camber will wear tires a little quicker in the long run but will help save them at the track because they won't roll over as much and chew up the outside. This is also something to consider if you get a second set of track-only wheels/tires. A set of sticky tires and a good alignment will literally transform the car!

Sway bars and sub frame bushings are two of the biggest bang for your buck suspension upgrades you can make to the cars regardless of how you use it. For autoX use they are musts. Sway bars will help dial out under steer and body roll. Sub frame bushing upgrades will reduce or eliminate movement in the rear sub frame which will improve launch control and wheel hop and improve stability and control in the corners. BMR and Pfadt are my "go to" brands.
