Seat Belts ???

I am building a 71 RS Camaro. I know there are are lap belts for all 4 seats as I see the bolts in the pan for the mounts. I was wondering if anyone could give some input on the use of shoulder belts for these cars and if it was correct for the erra. I see some holes in the vicinity of where I woould expect them to bolt to but am not sure if they existed. Any ideas of feedback would be great. Maybe some pictures as well.

From what remember they were bolted above the sholder in the headliner the seatbelt clip was held up to the top by a wire spring clip. Just like the 68 camaros we're .

Hey RRA,

You need to hit up Bucketlist2011. He is in the process of restoring a 1970 Camaro right now. You can find several of his threads in the 1st Gen Camaro section. Shoot him a PM, and I promise, he'll get back to you!!

Bucky, Thanks for the shout out... I hope all is well with you..

I haven't gotten to my interior yet, and it looks like next winter before I take it apart..

It is time to drive it for a while.. Next winter the carpet and everything comes out...

The shoulder belt clips into lap belt its bolted to roof with two bolts and has plastic retainer around bolts to dress it up. When not in use its held up to headliner with plastic rectangular trim about 8-10 inches long

Take a look at this setup:
Camaro Shoulder Harness/Seat Belt Kit, 3-Point Retractable, With Black Buckle, 1967-1973 - Rick's Camaro Parts

I always recommend buying NEW seat belts. Never know if the used set you see was compromised in an accident or two...

Meancamaro,
Can you send me some pics! I'd love to get the era correct style belts if you have them and they are in fair shape?
