So I have been thinking

I think I'm going to sell my cars and buy an ls1 camaro. Most likely a 98 since I would like to spend $6400 give or take if I can get $8000 for both. I admit that I've not done a good amount of research on what they go for.

I think I might invest in some flowmasters mufflers or just for 97 and get new tips for the z28 and while I'm at it, a new ipod touch that can type all letters [& numbers & symbols].

Also I think I'm going to wait till next year for a drag car.

That is all for now!

I'd say it was underrated a tad. My 345HP packaged 02 SS 6 speed dyno'ed at 321. Only mod was premium gas. And I got 31 mpg on the highway in 6th (no heavy throttle, just speed limit). The wife's 02 Z28 automatic got 29 on the same trip if that helps your decision.

2010 2SS/RS Auto, Sunroof, Engine Cover. Transformer Edition package.
2013 ZL1 ragtop #5478. 1 of 54 CRT M6 'verts.

Thanks for the info. I was just curious on those two things. Gas doesn't really matter but what did they get combined city/highway.

Z28's were rated 305 98-00, and 310 01/02. SS's were 320 98-00, and 325 01/02. My 2000 SS made 303rwhp when it was completely stock. All LS1s are 350hp engines. This is proven over and over and over. Corvette, Camaro, Firebird or GTO - 350hp. Period.

Good luck on your LS1 quest. It's the performance bargain of the new millennium, much like the 5.0 HO was in the 80's/90's.
