Question transmission perform?

hey guys i just got a 95 trans am and it has this transmission perform but if any one can tell me if it cam stock in this year or it was an add on or is it some thing that didnt come in them that much

Yep. All 95 T/As and maybe '94's came stock. All it is, is a #2/High-Po setting for the transmission.

The off setting (no light) is basically your tame shift. If you hit the button, it resets the shift signals to the computer giving it a more aggressive shift pattern/timing from the factory.

Neat thing about those are that if you want to tweak the shift patterns, you can with a basic programming. Keep your stock trans 'tame tune' and boost up/retune the 'perform' tune. A lot of guys with Camaros and LT1 Caprices do aftermarket installs because of this.

It's a pretty nifty feature if you ask me.

By the way; does the car have PRND12 or PRND123 on the placards? If it has the 3 you have stock 3.23 gears from the factory.
