That's not true.... I ordered an 02 SS from SLP, delivered the 3rd week in August and it did not come with an LS6 intake. The 02 I bought 2 years ago with 11,000 original miles with all the paperwork also had a LS1 intake. I'm not sure if yours was aftermarket or not....?!?

I can tell you it wasn't on my build sheet nor was it on my Window Sticker of either 2002 Camaro's that I've owned.

Just curious, how did you know it was a LS6 intake? Did it say it on it? Was it shaped different? I haven't found any thing online that 2000-2002 Camaro's had a LS6 intake. But then again, I'm not that computer sauvvy....

i had my tuner run the numbers and they matched, also you will notice it sits alot higher due to the runners being raised, hence more airflow, it is def online

Midnight, could you please provide a link where Chevrolet announced that 2000-2002 Camaro's would be getting LS6 Intakes?!

I hate to say it, but I'm calling BS on your tuner. The horsepower rating changed on the SS because of several different exhaust options you could get from SLP. From what I read, the intake had improvements made to it in 2001, bumping the power up to 350HP, but that was ONLY in the Corvette, not the Camaro.

GM LS engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I haven't found anything that states any Camaro came from the factory with a LS6 Intake. The base SS from 98 through 02 was rated at 315HP. There was two exhaust options that took it to 325HP and 345HP. The LT1 SS was rated at 315HP. Again, all because of the exhaust changes that SLP would do.

If there's something out there, please direct me to the link so I can get educated. Otherwise, your tuner is full of it.....
