Please Help!!!

My car's speedometer went from 35 to 120 and then just died and my car now will not shift however, it still has reverse. I don't know if it is a fuse or the transmission. Any help is greatly appreciated. BTW it is a 02 3.8 liter automatic. I am hoping that it is only a blown fuse but knowing my luck it is my transmission. I just don't get it, I just replaced the engine in that car and now this. this is my only vehicle and any help is appreciated. Thanks

Yes it is a transmission problem. It shouldn't be a surprise that a car that required a new engine might need transmission work too.
