A friend and I went over to the Atlanta Car Show today. Two young GM reps, (first names) Samantha and Ed, spent about 45 minutes with us and were both knowledgeable and enthusiastic about helping. I've seen some negative comments about reps at other shows, but I want any GM folks on this forum to know these two are great representatives for GM in general and Camaro in particular.
Brought a camera, but like an idiot left it in the car and didn't have the energy to walk a mile back to get it. As noted before on this forum, 2 Camaros were there: both silver, one SS and one LS. The SS was roped off, but got to sit in the other one. Headroom was fine, but then I'm only 5-9. It looked to me like taller folks would have adequate headroom, especially with the seat reclined slightly. The SS had gray leather; floormats were also gray. They showed us a fax containing several pages of GMPP accessories. Most had LPO numbers and prices, but not all. Supposedly, this info is pretty new, but should show up on the Camaro web site within a week. You folks probably knew, but I wasn't aware that the hockey stripes are now available as stand-alones ($199). The metal gas tank cover is apparently brushed aluminum, not polished, which I did not know. The reps said that the ambient lighting is very subdued, but very nice (it wasn't on these cars) .. I think they said it will come on when the lights are on. If so, that's pretty cool IMO. The cars were beautiful, and I can't wait until my order is pulled ... my friend's went to 3000 this morning. And yes. I know
