My $.02

I went to a local Chevy dealer to see the new Camaro. My first impressions were.....Wow!!! very nice...
The SS sticker had bubbles in it
With the SS sticker being flat black, will it be a pain to wax around them?
Interior was nice and LOVED the gauges
Car is actually a bit smaller than i had anticipated

My biggest concern now is whether or not to have the Dealer install the SS stripes when the car arrives??????

FYI...only about ten people there...VERY SURPRISED by that.

I'm having mine painted on, maybe a bit of customisation. My Monte, has vinyl decals, I dont handwash and one is peeling a little after about 6 years of being parked outside, but I think gloss black will look better.

You can easily polish/wax around the decals. Just use a high quality product that dries clear to make post-detail clean up easier. I suggest Zaino products

when you say "SS sticker" are you talking about the stripes? or did the dealer stick some goofy vinyl lettering on it somewhere? the SS badges are molded plastic, so i know they can't have bubbles. i'm confused

but to answer your questions, you can have your dealer hold off on the stripe install and get them done somewhere else if that's what you want. and if you use a polish like Zaino, it won't leave residue around the edges of the vinyl

I saw my first one in person today, along with about 5 68/69 Camaros which were also gorgeous.

I couldn't believe how absolutely beautiful the car was. It was even just a base model and I still couldn't help but stare.
