Car covers are backordered right now with no ETA. At least they were as of the other day. They must not have them in stock because when they do, the stuff ships quickly. It's when they DON'T have it in stock you could be in for a good long wait.
I've had good luck emailing them over the years when I had questions. They don't do business by phone because I think they try to keep their overhead low as they can. Phone jockeys would cost a lot more. They are a branch of Flow Chevrolet in NC and a site sponsor here.
In my experiences, 95% of the time, they are the lowest delivered-to-your-door priced GM parts supplier by any stretch, even if it's a couple of bucks. But sometimes, they are not. So you should always check around. Also, if you're in a hurry for the parts, check elsewhere first because I've had to wait a few weeks sometimes for backordered stuff. They don't ship partial orders, so be prepared for that, too. It's going to wait until all your stuff is ready to ship.
Example of them not always being the lowest cost-- GM accesory floor mats for the Camaro list for $140. GMPartsdirect sells them for 110, but charge something like 62 bucks or soemthing for shipping/handling for a total of about 172 bucks or something like that. That's 32 above MSRP. And y'all know how I feel about paying over MSRP when you don't have to. I can go to my local dealer and buy the same things (when they become available) for approx. 124 bucks + tax. Same part, most likely the same warehouse. Why pay more?
If service is more important than price, for just a few pennies more in most cases, you could try Diller, the GM parts guru, from Newman Chevrolet, another site sponsor.
