L99 A6 SS (electronically limited to ? mph)

This question is for anyone with a stock L99 A6. What's the highest speed you've gone in your car?
Over in another forum a guy said his L99 hit the speed limiter at 131mph.

That can't be right? The V6 Camaro has a speed limiter of 118 or 155 mph depending on tires.

My L99 A6 is already tuned or I would go out and test this myself.

Correct!
It is set to 155 because they will not set it higher than the rating of the tires.

The tires are rated much higher than 155, It seems to be becoming standard to limit cars to 155 in Europe. There maybe aerodynamic reasons as well but that would require more input for design engineers!

i hit 155 on an open stretch of highway with no cars around. took about 2 seconds from 70-100, and about 4-5 seconds from 100-155 @ 5500 rpm.

the pirelli tires are rated for 180+ so once i get a tune, i'm probably going to have them change the speed limiter to 175-180 mph. Probably won't ever go that fast since i nearly sh*t in my pants going 155!!!

car handled like i was going 70mph at top speed, really gets your blood going though! so if you plan on topping out your camaro, take a racing class first like richard petty driving experience or something and do it on a closed course.
