downsizing pics question

How do I downsize a pic from 3648 bites x 2048 to 1024x768, without losing the clarity. or will I lose?...I see some pics online here and they are great!.. I would finally like to upload pics of My VR, SS/RS ...and I have a pic of My Camaro preying on STANGS , such as BROS.THOR. pic..hehe
Any help app.!

You'd loose picture clarity if you were going to be printing the photos...but for the interweb, it's fine.

Depending on your picture hosting site...you should be able to automatically do it when you upload them. OR, you can do it in "windows office picture manager", photoshop or other similar software.

Only if you expand the size of the image will you lose quality. If you downsize, there should be no problem. Photobucket does it, just make sure it's set on 1024x768 before you upload.

I use IrfanView. It will do batch conversions and you can control a lot of the options on quality.

try out www.photobucket.com, they have an option to re size the pics, after you have registered and uploaded your pics..
