Question Maybe Silly ?....where do your gauge needles sit?

This may be a silly question, but I'm wondering where your gauges all seem to sit.
When I had my 2000 Z28, I know that the temp gauge was useless, and just went from cold to mid-range....

But in driving my 2LT around, I think the only gauge that sits right smack in the middle is the trans temp (also useless in a manual, but anyway....)
My water temp sits about halfway between the middle mark and the 1/4 mark, my battery gauge is pretty well to the right of the mid-mark....I know oil pressure will change, but it just seems very unsual to me to have gauges not all happily sitting smack in the middle of their ranges....

Anyone else have experience with this?
