There I was, racing trophies flying around in the trunk.........

driving into a left curve at 85 ignoring a sign that recommended 50 and while pulling some lateral G's heard three loud pops. Pop, pop,.......pop, sounding like metal on metal from the area of the inside-the-turn rear wheel.
Attempted to recreate it on the next curve and heard one pop.

One thought is that it may have been the Traction or Stability Control trying to do it's thing. Are these supposed to be off when you want to drive like an idiot?

Other thoughts, some warranting more concern, were wheel lugs not torqued correctly? Suspension shifting? Something breaking?

Anyone have any similar experience or thoughts on this? Thanks in advance.

Could have been the Sandpeople shooting at you from the top of the Bluff...
