Jacking it up

OK so next week I may finally have some time to install the Hurst and skip shift elim.

From experience where is the best place, front and rear, to put a a floor jack and after getting it up to put the jack stands?

Up 'til now I have only had to get under lifted 4WD vehicles with actual frames and solid axles.

Thanx in advance.

Here's a picture of the points from another thread, the locations are also noted in the manual under the tire changing section.

Thanks, I looked at the owners' manual but had a hard time interpreting it.

Does one need a low profile jack (for the 5th Gen.), like a corvette? In the past I could get by with a regular jack with my 4th Gen.

I haven't looked at the jack points, and well, I don't have a spare tire anyway.

Looking at that picture, the black areas right at the edge, in line with the supports shown, look to me to be the jack points.

If so, my stock 4th gen jack would operate flawlessly to lift the car there.
The 4th gen jack has a valley, but isn't wide enough that it would extend further underneath the car.

You gotta see Jack.

Yeah the edges are for the supplied jack, if you got it. You obviously would not want to put a floor jack there. That is why i wanted to see where persons are putting the lift points.

when i took my car to get work done, they lifted it in the rear from the body seam... wasn't sure if this was right or not.
