Thumbs up Camaro Factory Tour

I am going to be going to the Detroit Auto show in January and want to know if it is possible to visit the Camaro facility in Oshawa? I understand in Flint you can tour the Ford plant and I think maybe the GM plant? Well I would like to set foot on the hallowed grounds of the Camaro plant, can this be done?

Thank you
Kinley

Welcome Kinley - hopefully one of our Oshawa faithful will chime in.

We should have a ModernCamaro meet at the 2010 NAIAS for sure!

Who knows, they might do a tour later on when production slows down (possibly slows down). But right now they are working around the clock non-stop to try to meet demand.

You can, and I have toured the engine plant.
They have a all chevy show on the lawn every year.
Dyno rig and tour of factory is done that day. (usually in Augest)

I think you are referring to the Glendale Ave. engine plant in St Catharines, Ontario, where they have a GM Show 'n Shine every August.
This is not the Oshawa Flexplant where the Camaro is built.
At this stage of the game, GM Canada does not do tours of the Oshawa plant for the public.
At some point I would really like to see GM Canada change this policy. Perhaps some people at GM in the U.S. could exert a little influence over their Canadian brethren and this could be made to happen in the not too far distant future!

Yep your right, that's what I was referring to,the engine plant. I have never been to Oshawa.

Code:
"You can, and I have toured the engine plant."
We toured Lancing Mi. twice to see the SSR being built.
We had to stay on a train and where pulled through the plant, it was great to see the workers on the line. They also threw a party for us and gave us canvas bags, plant pins, coffee travel cups, American revalution windshield stickers, and other keepsake stuff. I had the workers sign a skeetch book and say what their job was.
