PATIENCE !!!!!!! THAT IS WHAT YOU NEED WITH THE AUTO.

Auto's are Very strong Car's however they learn as in how you drive them.
If you get your car give it time its not always going to be a rocket ship out of the box.
The auto's have a VERY tame tune to the transmission.
If you want a quick car from the get go drive it like you stole it.
IF you still dont like what you see after the car gets some miles on it ?
Tune the tranny and LET HER RIP ..... keep in mind a Tune will void the powertrain warranty but the question is how fast do you want to go ?

The A6 is not like previous Automatics its an AWSOME tranny You wont be upset you got it

What RPMs do your "Autos" run at 60 and 70 mph?

If you are not getting on it, what speed does it go into 6th gear?

Thanks

IMHO, stick with sport mode ("M" on the shifter). You don't need to paddle shift, and you'll find it accelerates much smoother than in "D". "D" has me bogging down a lot in stop and go traffic; it wants to upshift, downshift at the most inopportune times.

Still legal in 16 states. It's happy. It's fun. It's Happy Fun Car.
Do not taunt Happy Fun Car.

I have read all the complaints with the A6 cars but mine is an animal I dont know if it just left the factory right or maybe it was built on a Wed. But shes a beast great tranny and to me it kind of hits the shift points like a manual . I had an 05 Goat which I loved w/ auto and this blows it away.
