2LT/RS production

So I put my $1K deposit for a 2LT with RS package in Mid Sep

The dealer told me about 6-8 weeks for production and delivery. No problem since I am in Iraq and won't be home till just before New Years.

Now I get an email today that production has been stopped on this combo and they do not know when it will start again.

Does anyone know when the 2LT/RS will start again. Also if this affects the SS models with RS. If the SS is not affected any ideas on the price difference.

Pissed at the dealer

But happy to be leaving this place soon

Why be pissed at the dealer? It's out of their hands. Plus, these changes occurred after you put a deposit down. Be pissed at whoever's causing the constraint. It sure isn't the dealer.

2013 ZL1 ragtop #5478. 1 of 54 CRT M6 'verts.

Thanks for doing what you are doing in Iraq. You allow us the freedom to buy and drive the cars we love. Look at it this way, if you can't get the combo you ordered, look at something else. The 2SS/RS is a sweet ride. I know, I have one. Get home safe.

Yeah, don't get pissed at the dealer. He wants to sell you the car of your dreams. The production planner is the one to get uptight with.

2LT or 2SS

Ok, so its not the dealers fault. I know its not my fault and they are the only ones i have any, although little contact with.

Still, any ideas when the restraint will end.

If I must then I will get the SS/RS, but not sure if the wallet on a army budget can keep up. From what I can see its about $7K more for the 2SS.

Thanks for the answers and support.

The SS/RS constraint was lifted and back into production. Probably since they implememented the constraint on the LT/RS package.

Same thing happened to me as I ordered my LT/RS package. I found out before the dealer due to reading the updates on this website. The dealer did not have a clue until two weeks after I knew. Maybe they should they should stay up to dateby reading the threads that way they would not have disappointed customers. That should be their job. However, they gave me my deposit back and I luckily found what I wanted 300 miles away and bought it.

Thanks for what you do man! We wil continue to pray for you guys and get back home safe!
