Did y'all have to do any modifications to get these to fit or do they fit right into the factory housing?

They go right in with no modification. This is a non-RS.

Since this is a non-RS, how do the rings act as opposed to those on RS optioned Camaros?

They are connected to the parking lights, when the parking lights are on the halos are on.

Is there a difference in the non-RS and RS fog lights or am i misunderstood? what i wanted to find out was if the 5202 fog lights plug right into the factory housing and wiring.

The taillights are different part #'s for the RS and Non-RS but there is not much difference between the two.

Yes, the 5202 Fog Light Bulb is Plug and Play, there is no additional wiring or accessories required.
