Home made solutions for front license plate?

I just don't feel like paying 80-100 bucks for those you see on ebay. Has anyone tried attaching the plate to the grill let's say like with zip ties, wire, etc? Thanks for your input.

Got my Camaro in May and am still driving around with no plate. But there is a
member selling a home made bracket on ebay for under $40.00. No drilling. Use holes that are already there. I just checked and ebay says this sale has ended but his name is trm0002. If you can reach him, I feel sure he can sell you one.

I bought his solution when he first started selling them back in May/June. It works very nicely without putting holes in anything

Yes, I put the plate holder on upside down to get it lower off the lower grill intake

I believe he wants one that doesn't require holes to be drilled into the front...not 100% sure though.

I wish I had pics, maybe I'll snap some tomorrow. I used the stock plate holder and 2 suction cups where the top bolts would go. Then drilled 4 holes on the parts that stick out and touch the lower grill for zip ties to go through. I added two more holes to the side to be extra safe. Just push the suction cups on then zip tie. I use it whenever I go into the city (Chicago) and have gotten up to pretty high speed, haven't had a problem yet.

Here's a pic on the car and my sig pic was taken half an hour later after I cut the zip ties and pulled it off. You can just make out the zip tie on the side, it's white.

I got this idea from online. I took these pics to show you how I did it. No drilling on the bumper, takes very little time to do, and best of all it's very cheap!!
