How accurate are the "expect delivery" dates for the Camaro?

I bought a 2SS November 27th that was a pre-existing order that the dealership put in already. I saw the paperwork from the dealership and the expected delivery date was 12/3 (last Thursday).

One of the managers in charge of inventory told me that the ship dates and rail transit times are pretty spot on but the delays come at the destination ramp (rail-yard) where the cars will sit for a while until the OTR carrier picks up and gets a full truck together for a specific route or region.

Long story short, how far off can these dates be? Coming into December 7th, should I get a call any day now or could I still be looking at a few weeks? I'm obviously anxious but also hoping it is well before December 22nd when I fly up from GA to ME for the holidays.

Also it worries me a little bit that I've been putting miles on my current vehicle and the dealer could try to "depreciate" my car further from the agreed upon trade-in price because I have no choice but to drive it around!

Nate

If it's in writing already, not much he can do. You're looking at any day now, I imagine. Call him tomorrow, I'll bet he can find where it is.

It is in writing but they also filled out a mileage form which said my car would have 56,700 traded and the Camaro would have 3 miles lol. But they know I have to drive it so...

Mine had an expected arrival date at the dealership of 27 NOV 09, the day after Thanksgiving. My wife took delivery on 02 DEC 09, so around five days after. I would say you are very close though, within a day or two.

My latest update was today and the car is at the rail yard in SC. How long do they usually sit there? I'd say with luck I could see it this week.

Garage
From Savannah the rail yard is on your left off US 321 heading toward Columbia. Ride up there and you can see the lot from the road. My Camaro came a week early.

Depends when the truck picks it up. Could be a day or two, depending on the route. That's exactly where my 02 SS arrived and we did just that, took a little trip to go see it. But never found it as there were about 20 million cars parked in there.
