Reverse noise?

Well next week I am going to go get my first oil change at the dealership. While I am there I am going to ask them about this noise I am hearing whenever I go in reverse now. It use to happen once in a while but now it happens about every time. It almost sounds like I am dragging somethinig or something is rubbing against something.

Anybody else having this problem? And do you think they will check this out for free with the warranty and all?

I have heard that noise...just a couple of times.

YES, they should check it out for you...since you'll be there anyway.

I too have heard that noise but only a handful of times. And it only lasted for a second, not the whole time I was backing up. When the dealer locates the issue/cause, please post so I can get it checked as well.

I had a new 86 Camaro that I had ordered with a limited slip differential.

It made that noise when backing up on occasion.

A friend had a 2WD Blazer with the same thing.

I understood it was the limited slip rear end readjusting itself.

I understand the new Camaros have limited slip differentials as stock.

I understand they used to use a special lubricant for that rear end.

Maybe someone else knows more about this.
