Should I expect to get mine under sticker?

I know a few months ago MSRP was a good deal. Then MSRP was expected. What about now? I ordered mine and everything came out at MSRP, and the dealer seemed inflexible about giving me anything off. I ordered anyway.

However, my $500 is refundable, so I feel I can negotiate more once the vehicle is in the lot (April 15 or so).

Should I try to negotiate a lower price? How much off can I expect? Or is MSRP still a good deal?

I ordered 2ss/rs m6/IOM ext IOM int.

I'm at supplier for everyone. As you can see from my thread:

If you have a pontiac or saturn in your household, it gets $1000 cheaper

If I were you, I'd get a quote from all the local dealers. Take the lowest one back to your salesman and tell him you're going to switch dealers. It's apples to apples when you're talking about ordering.

You can't really fight them on how much you can get a car for from an out of state dealer since they will then go on about shipping and whatnot. You can haggle them with the competition in their neighborhood. You've got plenty of options where you're located -- use it to your advantage.

A few dealers around me are selling for under MSRP. I was very tempted, but do not have enough of a down payment yet.

When my wife and I ordered in October, we were able to get under MSRP from military and USAA discounts and broke even with MSRP after a couple of dealer installed options. However, before I deployed to Afghanistan in August the dealers in my town were out to get peope. I was getting my Firebird worked on at one of the local Chevy dealers and saw a Camaro on the lot so I went over to check it out. There was no factory sticker in the window, only the small skinny one you usually see where they add their own dealer installed BS things like "under carriage clear coat protectant" or some other stupid crap. Well on that sticker it read "Market Value Adjustment + $5000! I was appauled! Needless to say, I didn't buy from them when we ordered. IMO, if you can get it for MSRP, consider it good. Point being, these cars are in such demand, they probably feel they don't have to come off the sticker price to get it sold. At least that's my opinion anyway.

I got about $3,500.00 off MSRP this week. Either that, or they gave me $3,500.00 more than anyone else would for my trade, depending on how you want to look at it. Keep in mind, the 2011's will be coming out shortly. No way you should buy one now without a fairly steep discount.
