best thing for extra insurance is to do it after "break-in" period, which is 1500 miles. and after that just change it once the oil life indicator reaches 10%.

i just changed mine yesterday for the first time with 5900 miles. i decided to do mine at 50% oil life since i don't drive it everyday and it was mostly highway miles... and i just brought her outta storage from winter!

I did my first one at 1100...and will change it every spring from now on (car doesn't see winter).

Since you're at 2600 now, I'd recommend getting it changed. IMO, stick w/ Mobil1 and for your filter...Mobil1, Wix (napa gold) or AC Delco.

I've always done my first oil change before 1,000 miles personally.
New car = new parts. Cheap peace of mind

Mobil 1 5W30 is the factory fill.

Still legal in 16 states. It's happy. It's fun. It's Happy Fun Car.

No it doesn't. The Cadillac CTS gets Mobil 1 and the Camaro gets regular mineral oil. Check out "GM Powertrain" for the specs.

Negative, you might want to re-research that

Camaro SS gets Mobil 1 from the factory

At the advice of the Camaro development and engineering team...

The computer calculations are there for a reason.
Break-in oil changes are no longer required in modern powertrains.

My first oil change was done at 8400 miles, when the car told me it needed it.
