v 8 mail slot

I was just wondering what is the REAL function of it what were the engineers thinking. Is it to be able to tell the v-8s from the v-6 has anyone ever found out why??

Appearance/styling.

I commend them, but the should still have more of a difference in the exterior from a V6 and a V8 Camaro IMO.

It's better than the visual cues between a 4th gen V6 and Z28.

I'm not a fan of the mail slot, I don't like fake slots on cars.

I'd like to see the SS differ more than the LT appearance wise, but not stick out like a sore thumb.

The fake hood scoop on Mustang GTs sticks out way more than the mail slot. It's the lesser of 2 evils.

Still legal in 16 states. It's happy. It's fun. It's Happy Fun Car.

The main problem I have with the slot is when shopping for a true ram air hood I have to find a mail slot delete too.
