A couple questions; if they liked the OEM intake, would a drop-in replacement performance filter (such as K&N) make it almost comparable to a CAI? Also, where was the K&N CAI? That was an interesting test, with what seems like good information.

there is about 20 different intakes i could name, they can't test them all and i'm sure this test was done before some intakes came out... the adm street intake they tested looks like it was installed wrong. the maf pipe goes inside the shield

Either I am imagining this but this is the same exact thread I posted in yesterday but different freaky. I dont care for this review the more I read into it , The temps each car are so different right there to me this test is off kilter you have to read each result and take that into consideration if the temps were all closer the results would be very different. CAIs are very hard to figure conditions effect so much The stock one sucks. They almost went out of theire way to not upset future advertisers that to me this review lacks bite an the ADM is installed wrong wtf?

They mentioned in the article that they tested ALL of the intakes at the same temp and gave them each the same cool down period.

Very good article.

A very hard test to replicate and get the same numbers everytime, but there were some clear winners......

2005 CTSV BLACK LS7 Clutch/Flywheel/Slave, Tick Speed Bleeder, Tilton Clutch MC, RevShift Bushings, Domestic V8 Solutions (shifter, 8.8 Diff conversion, srut tower braces, sub-frame connectors), SLP cats, no cags, xpipe, bullet mufflers, Volante, iPod dock, G-force tune; 379hp 381tq.

Killing 5th gens like it is my job.

if you go through the conditions of the tests thats not the case each review has the posted conditions and they are not the same, plus screwing up the install on one of them is kind of messed up its helpfull if you weigh the conditions an the test #s on your own.IMO this was a sloppy test. They make the stock one sound great it, its not it blows
I agree with you to test these CAIs is very hard conditions effect it way too much but the conditions by there #s clearly are very different
