trunk release

Hey everybody. Just got a camaro and was wondering if the truck release on the door requires the key to be in for it to work? Sorry if its a stupid question....

No it doesn't require the key to be in. Its in a pain in the butt spot. I hit it a lot when I get out of the car.

I did try it with the key in and out. It appears mine is not working. I guess I'm off to the dealer for this one.

The remote in your pocket pressing against another key works very well too. If you hear a click when walking away, turn around and look because your trunk probably is open.

LMFAO ... I thought I was the only one. Lean against the counter in the kitchen and next time I go to pull out of the garage I get a TRUNK OPEN warning.

I hate the key.
