Camaro's in the shop ...

to get the splitter installed correctly (the third try for Carr Chevrolet In Beaverton, Oregon). S'posed to be a 1 day deal but then they called first thing this AM (when they call first thing ya gotta assume bad )

Seems there is a bulletin out on the front splitter for a complete removal and replacement with a special adhesive. I guess people got tired of them falling off and running over them at 70 MPH.

Anyway, just wanted to bring to the attention of others that have aftermarket OEM GFX installed that there is a TSB out on it.

splitter? the stock ground effects or an aftermarket splitter? i know a long time ago, like last year, there was a notice put out about the stock ground effects, saying that you needed to use the double sided tape and bolts to hold the front ground effects on.

There was a notice but this one is new cause they were still falling off. Mine was coming loose at the left front fender just at the wheel well. When they fixed it last time the tech just jammed some double sticky in and shipped it. It was coming loose again within a month.

When I took it in it had some road dirt on it and when I picked it up the only place that was clean on it was the area he worked on. The splitter was supposed to be removed and re-attached but he didn't do that.

Also, the centerline of the splitter was over to the driverside about 1/4 to 3/8 inch from the car centerline (which is coincidentally the amount it is separating from the car at the left front wheel well).

Apparently, this TSB is a new one that required the splitter to be completely removed and re attached with different hardware and adhesives.
