Side Vent Inserts Installed

You know, I've had these genuine GM side vent inserts (manufactured by Defenderworx) for at least 2 months now and I must have asked at least 5 dealerships and several autobody shops if they've ether installed these before or think they can install them on my car. Not one of them gave me a confident answer which was absolutely staggering and embarrassing to say the least. GM gave me no direction (Chevymall.com) and I thought I was screwed.

I checked on the Defenderworx website for instructions and they literally look like they were written by a 1st Grader. If they didn't mention anything about the the piece with the Chevrolet symbol on it being the longest piece, I wouldn't have had any starting point whatsoever. I said screw this and decided to install them myself. Even though the slats aren't PERFECTLY shaped to match the gills, I believe I have them installed properly. Now I'm going to open myself up to criticism, which is fine. I will NOT retaliate in a volatile manner, but if you could at least state whether or not they look installed correctly is really what I'm asking. Thanks all!!

P.S. - The guy in the picture driving the Optimum Online van was some guy that stopped to take pictures and video of my car who was unsuspectingly caught in the act.

They look ok, I just don't like the gills at all in general. What made these so terribly hard that no shop wanted to touch them????

I have no idea. That's what I would like to know. Seemed simple enough to install.
