been away a long time .. happy to be back

It's been the better part of a year since I last posted in this forum. There've been some trying times for my family, but things have finally settled down. I've missed you guys!

My RJT was "attacked" by a deer about 3 months ago, with the passenger side sheet metal pretty much messed up. After finding a very good paint and body shop right here in Auburn, I decided to make lemonade out of lemons: I had all my vinyl striping removed, all the original paint removed, and had gloss black stripes painted on concurrent with new RJT paint (not painted over, but on the same level ... the clearcoat surface is perfectly smooth). They had the car for three weeks, but I'm delighted with the results.

I also had the engine covers painted (RJT), and a Borla sport catback and K&N intake added. I've attached some "before and after" pics.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to interacting with you guys again

Thanks cigam! As a matter of fact, the file of pics I provided the insurance folks was marked "**** DEER". And congratulations to you ... your car is gorgeous

Welcome back, glad to see things are apparently looking up for ya The painted stripes look awesome

Deer are only good for pictures or jerky, I prefer the latter..
