Exclamation Track Day!

I recently brought my Camaro to an open track day at Beaver Run Motorsports.

Was lots of fun. . There was 2 groups. . and about 14 people in each group. . .There were 3 other camaro's there. My buddy Jamie had his there with my group.

We got 4 turns on the track and we were out there about 25 minutes a each turn. About 25 miles each run. . . I can say that brake fade is a scary thing. . . 4th time out. . . cool down lap. . brake fade was bad. . . pulling off the track the pedal mushed all the way to the floor when trying to stop in the parking lot. Glad that didn't happen on the straight before the hard left hand turn.

It was absolutely the best $200 bucks I spent this year.

Here's some pictures. There's more at the ling than what I posted.

Were you running stock pads/rotors? That track looks like fun compared to Sears where I usually run....

yes, everything was stock. . and it was my first time there in the Camaro. I did a couple events there for the Dodge SRT track days.

I agree, the track is fairly easy to run. On the straight away before turn 1, I got the camaro up to around 115-120mph.

Turn 9 and 10 are a bit tricky. . if you don't let off before turn 9 then you ARE GOING out mowing the grass. . Turn 10 is an up hill right hand turn bank. . . lots of fun, but the ass end wants to go out on you all the time.

Oh, turn 7 is a up hill blind corner also... I'll grab some video next time. . . If it doesn't rain on the 3rd, then I'll be out again.

I would highly suggest you flush the brake fluid and get some Hawk pads before the next event. Most pads, once cooked to that extreme are gonna be sh1t the next time out!

Thanks for the info. . . I'll see what I can do, but I doubt I'll have time. . . then again, I don't know if I'll be going on the 3rd. . it is suppose to rain for 6 days straight before that.

But next season I will do the pads and fluid for sure.
