Doesn't make any sense....
I've seen news on other sites about the LS9 Camaro trying to break speed records at the track. Here's my problem with that. It doesn't seem as impressive a feat when you have to actually use a different motor in order to achieve the quarter-mile in the low 9.0's. Dude, if you can afford an LS9 motor, you better be **** sure it is fast. I see this as not being any more impressive than buying a ZR-1. The Camaro probably costs as much heavily modified with the LS9 engine than a new ZR-1 anyway. Not impressed; Don't care. If you can get to the low 9.0's with the LS3 modified, now THAT is newsworthy.
LPE Performance continues to push down the quarter mile times on its shop LS9 Camaro, and they are now knocking on the door of the 8 second range!
After running a 9.974 back in July, the LPE LS9 Camaro recently hit 9.04 @ 159mph at the Muncie Dragway, achieved with a most impressive 1.377 60 feet!
