Lightbulb Opinion: 20" Aluminum Polished vs Painted Wheels

Guys,
I've got my order in yet, but Eric says I can still make a modification.
My 'vert will be White and after I get it it will have deep red (not dark/burgendy) stripes painted on.

That said, I'm spending enough w/o upgrading from the two wheel options provided.

Which would look better: The painted aluminum or the polished?

I plan to put a ring with the red color around the edge of whatever wheel I get, I worry that the painted may be too dark or worse yet....chip!

Helpful input is welcome and appreciated!

Tib

If you go Polished, you may as well spend about $500 more and get chromed exchange wheels from West Coast Camaro.... They are by far the BEST looking wheels....and not everyone has them!

Here's a car I put them on -

the stock rims are painted.

It's just a matter of opinion. I think a polished (or chrome as Scotty suggested) rim would look good w/ white.

Cool, sounds like polished allows me the most options, checking with Eric to see if it'd be a problem to modify my order.

Thanks all!

I've seen all three 20's in person. They are:
1. Stock SS/no RS wheels Painted
2. Midnight Silver (RS wheels)
3. Polished. (upgrade from base or RS)

I actually could show you pictures, and I just want you to know that it is very hard to tell the difference. The biggest way to tell is that the inside of the rim is also polished on the polished wheel.

If it were me, I'd save your money, or go like what Scotty suggests.

Here is polished and midnight silver in the same picture. Polished is on Erick's Cyber Gray.

They just don't look that different to me in your picture. Seems to me paint just adds more to get dinged. I think Scotty's suggestion is the way to go, and at the right price.

Thanks!!

If you go chrome, just get the standard wheels....you exchange your current wheels for the chromes. I think Eric knows how the process works, but if he don't I can explain it. We buy them from WCC, and put up the "security deposit" get the chromes, install them, and send back the factory midnight silvers. Otherwise you could order them when the car arrives, maybe ship them to classic, and have them install. Chrome looks so **** good on those wheels, I'm surprised it's not a factory option!
