Change oil message will not clear???

Like the title says... I changed the oil the other day (V6). The manual says to turn the key to the on/run position without starting and fully depress the accelerater three time within 5 seconds. I tryed this over and over again and message will not clear???

Any ideas why anyone??

scroll over on the DIC to the Oil Life Indicator, press and hold the SET/CLR button... see if that works.

Car does not honk....

Don't pump gas slow. Pump about 4 times to get best results.
Make sure you go all the way to floor.

Do you have information display?
