2011 Texas Mile - March and October

Since there is no place for 1 mile racing, I just put it here.

Alright, who is going?

http://www.texasmile.net/

TX_SS, so if I take a Pop-up or a Motorhome, is it free?

I was going to run, but just for giggles the entry fee would kill me.

I would love to be a wrench!

Just hollar!

2005 CTSV BLACK LS7 Clutch/Flywheel/Slave, Tick Speed Bleeder, Tilton Clutch MC, RevShift Bushings, Domestic V8 Solutions (shifter, 8.8 Diff conversion, srut tower braces, sub-frame connectors), SLP cats, no cags, xpipe, bullet mufflers, Volante, iPod dock, G-force tune; 379hp 381tq.

Killing 5th gens like it is my job.

I'm goin, without a doubt!!

Camp spaces were $30 a night last time, I think it's the same this time. I can go halves on that with ya if you can make a floor available for sleeping. The alternative is to book a hotel room about 20 miles from the airstrip, which is fairly cheap. We're still working on the master plan for our little group, but it's lookin like they might go without a home this time. I'll know more after tomorrow night, we'll all be at the local car show and we'll start discussing our plans. Most of the time, us crew members don't really have to do much, but we're there if something breaks. The days are filled with racing, the nights are filled with fun, last time we watched some ppv ufc event on the side of an rv through a projector tv one night, all nights were filled with adult beverages, music and watching people running barstools up and down the pit road (ton o fun to watch).

That sounds like a FN blast.

It all depends on my work schedule.

Some family and friends just bought some BIG slide out MotorHomes to travel after they retire, which is soon.

My parents bought one and I am hoping they go on a trip soon, so I can borrow it. I would hate to be the first in the family to camp in her.

My buddies parents did the same and my buddy has a nice pop-up that sleeps 4 comfortably and six tight.

It also depends on my work schedule and I have 2 Pub runs that time of year, but I would much rather go race with the family!!!!!!!

Envy, see that thing right there, the one that is underlined. If you click on it, you can find the answer to your questions.

I ended up getting a hotel room in Victoria that I'm splitting with one of our crew. He doesn't drink so I have a designated driver for the trip to the hotel at the end of the race day

I also rented a couple of long lenses for the weekend, a Nikon 80-400 f/4.4-5.6, a Nikon 200-400 f/4 and a 2x teleconverter. Should make for some good long range close-ups and video since they are both Vibration Reduction lenses.

I can't wait
