2 questions

Why does a 2011 V6 Camaro weigh so much (3750 lbs)? The V8 RPO is L99. What is it for the V6? Thanks, Ed

01 - It is because they are built with a single body type in mind but multiple engine options like most car models and trims.

02 - LLT 3.6 L (≈220 cu in) V6 engine producing 312 hp (220 kW) and 273 lb.-ft. of torque. The M6 V8 is the LS3 6.2 Liter Engine.

I think I might know what your asking (?), the V6's are lighter than the V8's even with the LS3/ L99's on ether Camaro, parts on a V6 (block is smaller too) are smaller on V6's, breaks and tiers and other parts because of the HP & weight.
I hope that's what you needed other wise I have no clue, we need more info.

Guess I meant compared to earlier Camaros. The 2011 V6 Mustang weights 275 lbs less the the 2011 V6 Camaro. Why? The LS V8's RPO is L99. What is the RPO for the V6?

Ed

there are alot more safety items & electronics now then there were in 2001, not to mention bigger brakes and wheels...and mustangs have always been lighter than camaros.
