I'd like to know where they are getting their FACT about approval. Still no OFFICIAL announcement but its obvious to everybody they are moving forward with the program waiting on final approval from the BOD.

I also think they are late on the production dates and wrong on the location. And I don't think there's any chance of a live axle at this point.

Unhappy Squashed by Fbodfather :(

Well........SOMEONE at GMHTP doesn't have to go to the gym tonite!

(cause they got LOTS of exercise by JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS!)

Most is wrongwrongwrong. Anyone that knows the answers is certainly, (at least I hope so) not stupid enough to leak info. to a magazine. (and by the way -- we didn't invite that magazine -- or any other, for that mattter) to any meeting.

Confirmed? DON'T THINK SO!

Wonder if Scott will have any info??

1. Camaro hasn't been finally approved yet, and it's targeted for MY 2009.

2. There are 2 Zeta platforms. Camaro will ride on "Zeta-lite". GTO will be on Holden's Zeta.

3 & 4. No set dates yet. At last info, Camaro was at a 24 month point, meaning 24 months worth of development (independent of any issues or other scheduling).

5. Program codes are classified, so I can't mention them (everything else I'm writing isn't specific GM information)

6. Camaro WILL NOT be made in Australia. I can go through all the reasons if you want, but it's either going to be Wilmington or Oshawa.

7. Although GM-Holden is doing current work on Camaro, it's because Holden is doing ALL RWD development at GM-Global.

8. There is no plans to offer the 5.3 V8 on the Camaro. It can also technically be said that the engines that will be in the next Camaro have not been developed yet. There will be a high powered V6 and a 6.2 liter (NOT 6.0) derived high output V8.

good because the 5.3 is not strong enough for the looks of this car besides that if you want a 5.3 you should buy an impala or a monte carlo
