I wish I had Bob Lutz's job. So This is the closest I can get. Heres the fun part: How would you as a consumer and fan of the Camaro build this? Think what trim levels should go with what engines. How many color otions there should be? And what would be different between the trim levels?
This will be intreresting if everybody plays along. Have fun!
(PS:Ill go first)
Base: 3.9 V6 starts under 20K
SS: 327 (or the 5.3L) with 325 horsepower and all the fuel saving tech.
SS: 350(365 hp?), yes I would bring back the LS-1 with the new tech.
SS/RS: LS-2 or LS-3 (the 6.2L 450hp) with hide-away hidelights as standard (others have the option)
Z/28: Either make another 302 with the same fetures as the LS-7 (450 HP)or if they have to use the LS-2 make the RS/SS use the LS-3
SS 427/ZL-1/or SS Yenko: LS-7. Thats all I have to say. lol
Point is: They made a design true to the past. Why not make the options similar to? In 1969 the Z/28 was one of the most exspencive camaros you could get. So why should it be a base V8 model? Same with the RS, make it a classy car. Give it some chassis options to. Give the Z/28 and the LS-7 camaros rockin' suspentions. Give the SS models A good midel of the road, straight-line monster. The RS/SS would have a higher better handling chassis then the SS but more inexspencive than the Z/28. And as far as color, Im thinking all the infamous colors (i.e, Hugger orange, and etc.). I would produce ten color options with stripe otions to. Colour inserts in the interior and some Carbon Fiber, aluminum, chrome trim peices as well. Thanks for reading the dream-
